We support the efforts of rescue, spay & neuter, unchaining and changing laws to improve the lives of all animals. There are at least 1,000,000 homeless pets on earth. In the United States ALONE: 70,000 puppies and kittens are born every day in the U.S. Between 4 million and 6 million pets are euthanized every year because they are homeless. That means between 11,000 and 16,000 pets are euthanized every day simply because they are homeless. An animal in a shelter is killed every 1.5 seconds. The owner and inventor of Harness Lead, Lisa Bray Flynn, formerly a shelter volunteer, spent countless hours in the company of homeless dogs. She faced the need to fit all the different body types in the shelter, prevent the problem of scared/skittish dogs backing out of harnesses and collars and reducing the pulling of dogs with pent up energy in a gentle and humane way.
